Brien; A little history lesson may be in order here. At one time, decisions were voted upon by the membership at the annual meeting. The club received objections from those who could not be in attendance and who wanted the right to vote via mail ballots. The procedure was changed in the C & BL several years ago.

In all fairness, there are lots of decisions that are left to the elected officers ... and rightfully so. That's why the membership elects them... to use reasonable judgement in deciding these matters. The club officers can't put every issue before the membership to vote on. We have to elect those who we think will do a good job on behalf of the majority and trust that they will do the right thing.
