Thanks Peter... I hadn't thought about it in the terms of what amounts to a reduction of bourse tables, where sales of hobby items encourage buy and sell interactions between dealers and customers.
The slabbing company service that ICG (and now I understand that PCGS will also have a table) is a concept that should be reserved for a trade show where just services are touted... not product.
While it's a great feeling to know that all the bourse tables have been sold out so far in advance .... and there is a waiting list for others who would have liked a table.... I'm sure most chippers would have preferred a few more tables offering chips for sale, than slabbing services.
I do hope that the newly elected club officers will reconsider the current Board's convention slabbing position for 2002 ... if they are listening.
