The people of Mississippi have decided to retain the current state flag. It was recently deemed to be a symbol of "racism, slavery and segregation" by some (even though it was designed by an african-american). The flag, which is a symbol of our state's heritage, will continue to be our "official" flag, rather than the new design by our current governor's people. Now we'll probably be boycotted like South Carolina was. Bet it doesn't hurt business at the casinos though.
