Alignment of center inlays is a preferential choice for the collector to make. The inlays are usually applied in a random fashion. The alignment of obverse/reverse inlays does not affect grade. Some inlays are also positioned off-center. Some collectors feel that these off-center anomalies are to be treated as rejects, or seconds; other collectors feel that they should be treated as errors.
