I want to recommend a must have book in your chip library no matter what or where,or how you collect chips. The Gaming Table now in it's revised second edition by Myers, Wheelden & Knapp.
They are known more for their Chip Rack.
This book covers everything from US to Foreign with lots of illegals. Not only is a huge book listing, must be 50,000 gaming locations but dates & even information on initialed chips. Even covers the mold they used.
I refer to this book all the time & don't see much mention of it on the board here. I was messing with looking up some old initialed chips trying to ID them when I got thinking how I never hear mention of this wonderful book.
There is so much information indexed in here I don't know how they did it! IF you know where your chip is from & want to see what others are from that area, or learn a little more like many times the opening & closing dates. Look it up in the back where each state is alphabetized with all Foreign Countries.
Allen do you still have copies available? Many dealers carry it as well.
It's a must have ASAP.
It is so fun to try to ID your old UFC's. (Unidintified Flying Chips)!
