We have some very good card rooms here. Most of the rakes are 10% up to $3 and if there is a jackpot it's $1, but only if the pot is greater than $20. I stick to hold em. The smalest safe game to play is 4-8. Any smaller and you can't raise anyone out. I tried to play a 1-5 hold em game and people were staying on terrible cards, even with a raise, and catching. Hard to beat a game that everyone stays in every pot till the river. The safest game I have found is 10-20 hold em. It's a little more risk than 1-5 stud but the rake doesn't hurt nearly as bad and you can actually win a good amount of money if your patient. Good Luck!
