But we're talking about auctions NEVER ending Archie! I know the reasons for the 5 minute rules and it's NOT for the seller but the auctioneers commission on the auction....we've gotta be real here! Anyway, I'd have no problem with a five minute rule IF and ONLY IF bidders who've already bid on a lot participate! With all these auctions, there IS an ending time THEN the 5 min. rule kicks in. If you didn't bid BEFORE closing, you shouldn't be allowed to bid under the 5 min rule, plain and simple! Remember, it's not 'live' where you can 'size up' your competition as the bidding progresses. We've got to give bidders SOME edge at some point.
