Dave; While my post has nothing to do with 1935, it MAY have something unrelated to do with the basics of your question.

Consider these facts:

For all the years that Playboy & Atlantis was open in Atlantic City (1981-1989) the highest denomination slot token in use was the lowly $1 token.... nothing higher .... and we're talking only 12-20 years ago.. not sixty five years.

Today, $100 & $500 slot tokens are in use in just about every major casino. (Claridge on the other hand; even today, does not have a $100 slot token).
