Good practice for the 'Chef de table' took remember who played what.
That is also I feel a reason, why the French table does not catch on in the USA.
As everybody is playing the same jetons, you have to remember what you have played. With the roulettes in differant colors it is very easy on the American roulette, but imagen like in Barcelona on a busy night, all the same jetons and lots of bets on the table. A hughe job for the Chef de table to try to remember who played what...
Even when the ball is still spinning people just give the croupier the jetons and anounce the bet and the croupier is still putting them on the table even after the ball has fallen....
