We should stay with the Trop--it helps the club. But if you get shut out, two of the clean but lesser expensive hotels next door are the San Remo and the Excalibur. I've stayed in both and had no complaints. After the convention is over I return to Harrahs where I usually stay as that's where I play low stakes poker--but after making my early booking last October learned that the poker room was to close (it did). In the future I'll be staying somewhere else where I can play--probably the Flamingo.
