Travelling Trophy / Perpetual Trophy, all the same, as you know, I like the concept. I still have the sets of Tournament chips from past tourneys (Orleans and Excalibur), and would like to incorporate them into the trophy, and for this to continue each year.

The problem then becomes, where do the accumulated chips get stored? My initial thought was to have a high quality, wooden poker rack (you know, the kind for home games that store chips vertically and rotates?), which stores the chips OK, but leaves no room for labelling with each year's winner.

I am now looking at framing each set between plexiglass/lucite sheets (where they will have the "appearance" of the Tyrus CD jewell cases) and then using a CD storage rack to hold each framed set, which will be attached to the base of the trophy. Or, have the trophy be an ornate wooden box with a hinged lid. When the lid is standing opened the frames are stored within, and the inside of the lid contains the trophy information, the CC>CC emblem, and little name plates of the winners.

The frames will also permit room to identify the winner.
