No, I'm not kidding you, Archie...and I'm not
making excuses for someone I don't know, but I am
pointing out that the majority of the time we
learn that most of those sellers using the rare
word use it for lack of a better word or have no
idea as to how common the item they are offering
really is.
As I said in my response to Jim's post: I
constantly inform sellers when they list plastic
as ivory... and I truly believe those who respond
saying they were told the item was made from
"French Ivory" and thinking this means ivory from
France and not Celluloid or plastic form made to
look like ivory.
