I just tried to buy an item by using the "Buy it now" link. Instead of taking my bid as it has in the past, it gave me the option of either paying a "one time fee of $5" to make sure I am who I say I am or give them a credit card. I am outraged. The particular item was under $50 and I have bought many things on eBay and not been required to do anything other than pay the seller in the manner required. Is it just me or is there some rational reason for milking more money out of the users?
