Had Bob ask for $500 from 20 people, I would have been there. The chips would be split 20 ways. The table then gets bought by one of the partners or sold (maybe on ebay). The proceeds from the table gets split among the partners. Table, for argument sake, might fetch $5000.

I don't know how many jetons/plaques there are, but for $250 it would be some bargain.
