Take a look at this unusual old poker chip. It's an engraved design, PC-KA "Winner" that also has an inlaid design, a white star. I have a number of antique chips that are a composite Engraved and Hot-stamp, but this is the only one I've seen that combines engraving and inlaying.
For those who aren't familiar with the old chips, the engraved chips are not themselves engraved, but are made from molds fashioned from engraved metal dies. The inlay part of the chip is a piece of paper or plastic that is laid in the mold before the clay goes in and is pressed into the chip.
In case the scan isn't clear, this chip design is an interesting one: a garland of 'card suits' tied with a ribbon.
I have no extras, but thought it might be of interest to other Antique-chippers. If anyone has similar chips to sell or trade, I'd be interested. How about it, RobertE?
