I gave my baseball card collection to my nephew. I got sick of it 10 years ago when I would go to shows watch kids buy boxes of cards open all the packs get whatever cards were going for the most money and run back into the show to sell them and see how much profit they could make leaving all the other cards behind. They weren't collectors they were profiteers and Beckett fueled the greed. All the dealers wanted "high" Beckett for their cards and wanted to pay "low" Beckett for yours. Then came all the LE cards...I could go on but it still makes me sick.
I see some of the same stuff in chip collecting and I think it will get worse before it gets better....but only time will tell.
