Character, a lost trait

When I wrote the follow up on the Cotton club I made mention of the greed aspect that has entered our hobby on a large scale. It has taken the fun out of the hobby for me. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing "bad" about making profit on chip transactions. However, there is something seriously wrong when individuals who claim to "love" and support our hobby deprive other collectors from obtaining chips by buying them all up.

I don't collect LEs except for a few classifications. Fortunately I do not collect March Madness chips. If what Pete wrote is true it is my opinion what Rene did is ethically wrong. It seems MONEY is the end all. GREED is everything.

People if "we" don't stop this type of activity by not purchasing these chips we are adding to the destruction of our hobby. If we buy these chips "we" are saying it's O.K. to grab up what we can and then charge a huge profit to our fellow collectors.

This is wrong! In my opinion, no justification can make it O.K. No wonder the slabbers want in. Who wouldn't when this type of profit can be made.
Say No!!!! Best, Jim
