Hi Leonidas,
As the world rapidly slips into another recession, CA is for the first time, experiencing power outages across the state. A couple of years ago, you would think that this only happened in third world countries with inadequate infrastructures, but no, it is now happening here.
We are very fortunate. We own our home in an area served by the DWP (Dept. of Water and Power). Because they generate power from their own sources, their prices are low and they have a surplus that they sell to other power companies.
I can only imagine what it has been like in the blackout areas so far. There have been numerous accidents caused by motorists running non functioning signals. People stuck in elevators. Business's closing. The future looks bleak as the powers that be tell us that we are really in for it this summer as we rev up our air conditioners.
Have a good evening, Ron
