What? Rain in Oregon!

When I moved to Portland in 1970, a very good friend from Oregon, told me one sunny afternoon while sitting in the Embarkadero in San Francisco, that it only rains at night in Portland. Well, I can remember it not stopping for months on end, all day and all night. But what a beautiful part of the world it is!
