Under your scenario, a new chipper would/should notice that on this BB questions are asked and answered. If I was a newbie, I'd ask this group of experienced collectors what the set is worth before I'd plop down $400+ for the chips. The Hard Rock is an unusual case for collecting in that there are probably way more people that collect anything Hard Rock than there are those who only collect Hard Rock casino chips. That fact often drives realized auction prices well above what chip collectors would consider reasonable for the same chips.
FWIW, TCR has all of the new HR wheel chips (those without table numbers) rated "C", worth $5-$9 each.
Again, I think it is best to start a new thread so it at least doesn't appear that someone is directly trying to undercut someone else, or in this particular case, possibly limit bids on a live auction. I don't think that was Josh's intent, he's a pretty upfront guy, but it just doesn't look good.
