Also, one more vote for Las Vegas as THE ONLY place for the convention.

As for the Tropicana, the location is tough to beat. Hit the floor for a few hours, run across the street to Emeril's for lunch, and then back to the Trop for more reckless spending.

I can see where locals might want an off-strip property like the Orleans though.

I'm probably the only person on the planet that would suggest this, but here goes... what about the Riviera? Ample parking for locals. On the strip for out-of-towners. Cheap players club rate for low-rollers like me. :-)
