Here's the options (and limitations) for attending the convention events...I think. LMK where I'm wrong or where info is missing.
1. Wednesday events - trading room; banquet; trade session after banquet:
Members & associate members (ONLY**) may enter trading room for free; attend banquet for $20 each ONLY IF you preregistered & paid for banquet; may attend trade session after banquet for free.
**You MUST be a member (or associate member, whichever is applicable) prior to arrival to attend any of these events, since you can't sign up as a new member or associate (or renew a lapsed membership) until access to the club table begins on Thursday morning. In other words, if you arrive in LV without a current membership, you're SOL until Thursday.
2. Convention attendance for members and associates:
Option 1 - pay $10 each preregistration by mail and attend all 3 days on borse floor & all meetings you desire (except you must pay entrance costs to the banquet and the poker tournament, if desired); also you get a "goodie bag" if you preregister.
Option 2 - don't preregister, but pay $4 each per day to enter the bourse floor. You don't have the option of paying $10 for all 3 days; you don't get the goodie bag that the pre-registered members get.
3. Convention attendance for non-members:
If you bring a non-member friend, or just a tourist or LV local, he/she can enter the bourse floor by becoming a 1-day member of the club. These 1-day members pay $4 (?) and may attend all club meetings on that day, plus access to the borse floor. No 3-day/$10 passes available; no goodie bags.
I may be wrong on some of this. Please correct me where I'm in error. Thanks, Wayne.
