Nice dodge, you only can speak of your narrow participation in the market based on inexperience and price range. Here's my take as an avid chip collecting hobbyist. Slabbing will hurt the enjoyable hobby we have in place. It will hurt every collector of casino chips. It will not help folks buying $1000 chips on eBay. Lower value slabbed items in other slab infested hobbies proliferate Ric and you know it. You can buy slabbed pennies on eBay for $9.99. Who comes out ahead on THAT deal? The slab company who got paid up front! They want to harvest our money here in the chip hobby too. I understand from other posts that you are assocciated with Barry Weintraub. Some of my favorite chips were purchased on eBay from Mr. Weintraub, a CCGTCC member. Thanks Barry! He's your best resourse for making informed chip purchases, not some money-hound grading service.
