It amazes me how some folks want to tinker with success! I'm told that all the bourse tables for the 2001 show have been sold, over 150 Early Bird banquet tickets have been purchased, and once again the cry is heard to "move the convention somewhere else".
WHY? No place else in the country (or the world) can offer what Las Vegas does. May I suggest that those who think the club can obtain a better deal elsewhere, ought to submit their proposals and numbers to the newly elected Board. Keep in mind airfare, hotel room cost and weekend availabilty, price of food, entertainment, square footage needed to put on a 100+ table event .... and most importantly recruit a responsible qualified Convention Chairperson do encourage dedicated volunteers to do much of the work.
