but if you are using Photo Shop software you are better off scanning in 50%. Go to the "Tools", click the mouse the drop menu shows and then click on the "Dimensions". Go down to the button and scroll to 50% and click it. Click the "X" on the right side of the box.

Proceed to scan but use Gene suggestions of scanning in "jpg" format. I think most of us can access and view without problems a jpg format.
