As Scott mentioned, there were several illegal clubs in Canada over the decades. The red "KLP" chip in the scan was shipped to Max Koffman in Winnepeg, Manitoba in 1948 (via Lancaster, Minnesota--I would love to know the story there!) and was part of a HUGE order, making it a very large operation.
