I don't know what to say, Bruce. There are many people on this board with personal horror stories to tell. The archives are full of accounts, of Dean defending his actions and telling us to take a flying leap. I'll just say two things in response to your post.
1) "by the success of his auctions, he is doing something right" If you believe that success through dishonesty makes dishonesty right, I have no comeback. If you believe Dean is successful, take a good look at his history. Note the number of auctions with rediculously low openers that did not get bids. Some people have enough moral fiber to not do business with Dean even though his RARE chips are dirt cheap. Some don't.
2) "Not all the bidders can be dummies can they??" That's the classic "buyer beware" line. Many of us in this hobby believe newcomers to the hobby getting ripped off by dishonest dealers is not good for the hobby. Just how would you feel to pay $600 for a chip that's listed in the rack at $1500, and then learn 6 boxes were just found and they're selling for $25 each? And the seller knew it.
