Again this is difficult to scan.
This jeton is a Caro made in the early 1920s for a illegal gambling club in Brussels during the 'Annee Folles' (the Crazy Years).
This to was a Cercle Prive, hence the CP monogram, it is difficult to read but underneath it says L'Epatant.
This was a real gambling club, with lots of Champagne, girls and people doing the Charleston.
You get the idea, it must have been a whale of a time.... now more then 80 YEAR ago.
Then you were either poor or rich. The rich traveled already to Spa, Nice, Cannes, Monte Carlo to gamble, have fun and do NOTHING. Like many of us we would have liked to be in the last group. Otherwise we had to work our b*tt off....
Again for your vieuwing pleasure.... and many haven't seen this beauty.
Kind regards,
Bob R-4479 Belgium
