Well, it looks as if you do not have to repeat Reading 101. My message was plain and clear. and once again for the umteenth time, yes. If you never sold a chip you would get it for face value.

This is not my intent and to date as far as I know it has not happened. I was asked a long time ago by a dealer to get him multiple chips on one of my 50 plus, three state chip runs and he would pay me 10% over face value. In other words for a $0.50¢ chip he would give me $0.55¢. I don't think you or anyone else would care to hear my answer to that one.

As far as E-bay sellers are concerned, I have been asked that question by one person and I sold the chip to him as well for face value, but he did not take advantage of the situation.

I am attempting to refrain from critizing people who are in this hobby for the profit motive. It is an honest way to supplement ones income. In the same light it is my perogrative to "shop" around for a lesser price.

I believe I am aware of the work involved in providing chips for others as a new chip service provider and welcome their service with open arms.

If it were not for the new chip services neither I nor anyone else could amass the number of chips we have in our collections at such a low cost and in such a short time. This is especially true of the Las Vegas dealers who are expected to be at the casino (no matter what time of day or night) when a limited number of chips are released in order to satisfy thier customers. And with the huge number of releases each year, at times it probably seems like a full time endeaver.

It is different for people such as me and some others in other areas who have access to a limited number of chips by few casinos. We get the chips at our convenience, can take our time to mail them out, in most cases, just go to the cage and get as many as we wish. If I sold chips at over face value, say $8.00 each, I might be lucky to make a couple of hundred dollars (at best.)--just enough for a buy-in at the local card room. It is just not worth it to me.

I feel much better by just providing the chips for my fellow collectors at cost and in turn, hopefully get treated the same.
