Yes, It's sad to see more and more Poker Rooms being closed to make room for more slots. Unfortunately Management feels that ALL Slots are worth at least $130 per machine whether they get play or not. While a Poker Room of 3 tables or less will only generate a couple Hundred Thousand per year. With labor and benefits added it makes it a break even proposition at best. I guess it is left to the image of what they want to be known as either a Casino with all the annemities or a SLOT Factory. Well they won't see any of my money in thier Slot's. I only play Slots were I can still play Poker. So it's a Loose-Loose situation for them as far as I'm concerned. Some day Big Business will see the whole picture.. Associated player tracking of spouse's and players associated with the Poker Player is the only way to open thier eyes. Yes we may be a break even Department but My Players spouses and associated guests generated over 3.2 million dollars in slot play at my Casino. But it took 5 months to convince them that it was a legitament expenditure and that it was well worth the footage in the long run.
