No he is not a friend of mine. It's real easy to jump on someone when they misrepresent an item. But we need to keep in mind that sometimes these misrepresentations are honest mistakes.

Lets say that you received these chips that you bought from him and put them in your collection. At the convention I run into you and I really like the chip, I ask you where they are from and you tell me from a casino that never opened in St. Maarten. Then we trade. Later on I run into Charles Kaplan and show him my new chip. He tells me that it is a fantasy chip.

In this instance were you a liar or a thief? Of course not, you believed the chip to have been legitimate based on what you had been told.

All I am saying in regard to this seller, is that we have no reason to believe that he knew these were fantasy chips. Someone pointed out that he only sells fantasy chips, but in all those auctions he tried (albeit poorly) to convey that information.

Now if someone tells me that they sent this information to the seller and he choose to ignore it then I would agree that he was not being honest.
