I am usually the last person to get involved in contraversy, but I do have a question concerning this whole thing about chapter members and international members.
The Texas Chapter has always stood by the laws of the national chapter, and as such, we lost a couple potential members because of the rules of joining both. This was a couple of years ago. It was not a great loss of such, but we are a small group - usually 10-20 people per month. I wonder what impacts this would have on the larger chapters?
My question is this: Why does the ANA not require membership to their organization for all CCGTCC members? Is it that they do not see us as a threat for taking away potential members? Speaking for myself and a couple others, we would have joined the ANA if it were not for the CCGTCC. Why are they not up in arms about it? Why are we?
The only answer I can think of is size. The ANA is just too big to care.
Any ideas?
