It appears that in most of those auctions he acknowledges that they are not real casino chips. He uses the word fantasy in at least one auction, and contemporary facsimile in others. Obviously these chips are not facsimiles as that suggests that they are reproductions.

It does appear that he is trying to be honest about these fantasy chips. I believe that we should presume his honesty.
