Re: More T. R. King Questions
In Response To: More T. R. King Questions ()

I don't know of any list of these, Alex. Only T.R. King could tell the true tale and I don't think they will provide a list. I'll see if I can find the old fax I have somewhere. If you have access to the Prodigy chipper group messages from the mid-90's, there was quite a discussion of the subject there, with a list of chips available.

However, even determining that the chip came from the maker's vault doesn't prove anything. It could be identical to a chip delivered to the club that paid for it... or not [g].

One chip in this category is the $100 Golden Nugget Las Vegas with the GN house mold. This was a T.R. King product even though it's not on a SMCRWN mold. However, it's the same as the chip used at GN in the 1970's (I think). I guess we should be glad a bunch of these became available to collectors as not many high-value chips were saved 25 years ago, particularly in unused condition.
