Just found out this morning, my friend was at the Ameristar, KC last night. He told me they made the change yesterday. He showed me the new $0.50 and $1 chips. They are Paulson's and they sure look a lot like the old Station Casino chips. I'll be heading up there on Saturday morning. I tried to talk my wife into going out there tonight, but she said "No way, not on a Friday night". She's right, it's always better to look through chips and tokens when they aren't so busy.
