I rolled a "snake eyes" yesterday trying to get Year of the Serpent chips from the Commerce Casino (near Los Angeles). They have five (!) separate cashiers cages, but NO $5 serpent chips in any of them. One did have a $25 serpent, but I declined. Even checked with some of the floor supervisors and a few dealers. One cage employee explained that they were issued in red envelopes on Chinese New Year day and that only a few have come back in so far. He suggested I try again in a few weeks, as they may take a while to flow in. They reportedly issued 2000 of the $5 chips, so it shouldn't be tough to get in the long run; but difficult at this time.

Interestingly, there were several Yr. of the Dragon and Millennium chips mixed in the racks on the tables. But no Serpents.

I'll try again but may be awhile. It's a 70+ mile round trip for me.
