For those of you who have not received your copy of the club magazine yet .... The Silver Strikers Chapter has requested that they conduct a Silver Strike Of The Year Award this year. The club has honored their request. As a result no SS will be eligible for the TOTY 2000 award this year. I know that some club members do not agree with the club's decision.... similar to most decisions that are made that will offend someone among our 2500+ membership.

As a compromise, after the current COTY/TOTY nominations are completed ... I would be willing to send out a poll along with the election ballot to all the judges of this year's COTY/TOTY contest to see what the sentiments are of those who are interested in COTY/TOTY. If the majority of responses are in favor of restoring silver strike eligibility for TOTY next year, I will seek approval from the elected Board of Officers to include them.
