I agree with what Paul said. In the tournament I entered it was obvious who the amateurs were. they were betting $100 or more per hand from the start. Today most tournaments are by with a certain number of hands. If you bet near the minimum umtil the end you may be lucky enough to move to the next table. In one tournament there were three of us left and I bet last. The other two guys had more money than I did so they went for broke. I realized that the only way I could win was if they both busted and I bet a small amount. That is what I did and they looked at me like I was crazy. All three of us lost to the dealer but I had the most left over when it was done!
