... that in order to keep our convention civil, we
request of our club officers that there be no
anti-signs, posters, pins or tactics debasing any
club member, dealer, exhibitor or passer-by.
The same message of our protesting slabbing can be
carried out with printed material handed to those
eithing visiting our anti-slabbing table, or at
dealers tables who wish to distribute same.
I feel the purpose of our convention is to promote
our hobby and the exhibitors and dealers and not
cause any warlike or hostile action.
Emotions will be building between now and the
convention on both the pro and anti-slabbing issue,
and I would think we would not want to see an
eruption of sorts not becoming us as a friendly
club.
I feel we should look forward to our convention as a
fun and educational outing. Too many people are
giving it their all, and I would not care to see
them be hurt for the efforts they have put forth.
Let's put aside our personal feeling of some dealers
and thoughts, and let's try to be selfless for those
few days we all gather.
