I have fond memories of 4 years in the early 70's going to school in Rochester. Back then it felt as if I were living inside a giant bar of Ivory soap for 9 months at a time. I have a distinct recollection of a college guide that started its description of the school with "Rochester has two seasons - winter and the 4th of July..."

Yesterday, my brother in New Jersey had his flight to the Berlin Film Festival cancelled because they expected a foot of snow.

Last night I went swimming when I got home from work.

With my dog.

Punxatawney Phil saw his shadow. I get to see mine almost every day.

Tom and Nicole split up... that should take care of at least the first half of the local news programming here.

Of course, there hasn't been a good car chase this week.
