Nate; This is not intended to be a cheap shot at anyone, but if all the current Board members, with the exception of VP Hallenbeck, are opposed to slabbing ... as they have said they are ... then why won't THE BOARD issue a policy statement that they think slabbing and grading are bad for the hobby?
Club Officer's should be offering andproviding guidance to the membership. They should be leading and giving direction. I understand the plight of individuals who may not wish to sign a pledge. But what I don't understand is that four of the five currently elected officers state they are opposed to slabbing (as individuals) but they won't state that as a Board position. I would appreciate hearing from any of the five Board members regarding this perplexing position.
