Re: What are we doing?
In Response To: What are we doing? ()

I don't know about you Woody, But I disagree with my friends from time to time. On the board here in print it looks pretty nasty at times but I tend to read the posts as if they were a discussion between friends in a bar or resturant or social club. The anti slabbing movement to me is an effort to economically oppose slabbing. If slabbed chips sell dealers will be forced to sell them & slab them. We are just taking the other approach. Ecomonic boycott is not a new idea...people & governments tend to listen when it effects $. As far a breaking the club apart we have faced many issues & this club is stronger than that. It is stronger than any one person or view. I have seen many posts of disagreements, but have yet to see a post questioning the right to an opinion. This fight is an opposition to those who would economically exploit us..we are just taking a stand to prevent that. It it the first concious effort by any hobby to prevent it's exploitation. We may not win but if we lose this hobby will never be the same again.
