Debating club, hardly. We are friends. I've heard horror stories of politics and back stabbing at some of the larger chapters. We don't have these kinds of problems. We meet, we trade and everybody goes home happy.

I also find it odd that "we" should be the ones to smooth things over! Why doesn't somebody from national who supports this amendment come out and speak at our meeting? We would love hear the merits of this. We did not propose this nor were we ever consulted, but WE should smooth things over? Hmmmm.....

Will we give an inch? I suppose, but the only inch that has been suggested by you or anybody else is to lie and call our members who don't want to belong to national "guests". What "inch" do you suggest?

I know your proposal is good intentioned, but if passed the result will not be positive.
