You did the right thing, welcome to the club.

Even though I do not agree with Mr. Trimble on the issue of chapter membership, I still repect his right to have his own opinion. Mr. Trimble has made invaluable contributions to this hobby and should be held in the highest regard by all chippers, regardless of how they feel about chapter membership and slabbing.

That people can disagree about important issues and still be friends is one of the strengths of this hobby. Things may have gotten out of hand for the moment, but this will pass and we will survive our differences and to return to what unifies us, our love of chip collecting. Hang in there, Dick.
