Dave, if I think I remember correctly, last year was the only year they made 333 $8.00 chips. In the prior 3 years 1997, 1998, 1999, they produced 888 as they did this year.

For those of you paying premium prices for the $8.00 chips let me tell you I was able to pick up numerous $8.00 brass core chips from the cage years later. After every Hollywood Park meeting I would go down to the cage and ask if they had any. At one meeting I got 6 each of the $8.00 Tiger and rabbit chips.

I was selling these for face value and still have a few left, but now am saving them for use as traders. I still have umpteems of $2.50 and $5.00 in inventory.
