It costs almost as much, if not more, to publish and mail the CCGTCC quarterly magazine as what is currently charged for annual dues. I.E., realistically, a subscription would cost just as much as a membership at the national level. We can fit our Colorado monthly newsletter in a #10 envelope with a single first class stamp, but given that our annual dues is only $10, most of that is already going toward the publication anyway.
....we send people the newsletter and invite them to our meetings. That's alll I'll insist that they pay for. I will encourage them to join the CCGTCC, but I personally will not require it. If such a stand means I will be stepping down from my position as the CCC treasurer should the amendment pass, fine with me. I don't ever want someone saying to me that *I* required them to join something that they didn't want to.
