You have given voice to one of the most important reasons why I oppose this amendment. I think we run the risk that we'll lose more members by chasing them out than we will gain by forcing them in.

I don't think we should be encouraging people to leave us. NY Metro will not be the only chapter which will consider leaving the club if this amendment passes.

Marv Weaver is one of my earliest chip collecting friends. I understand the reasons for his proposal, albeit I don't agree with them all. I have no doubt he has the best interests of the club in mind. Nevertheless, I think the proposal is short-sighted and mis-guided.
