Scott; Here is another example that may affect your viewpoint somewhat .... but then again, maybe not.
Prior to the rule change, the very large Silver Strike Chapter was 100% members of CCGTCC .... and may still be 100% for all I know. But under the new rule changes which no longer requires that chapter members have to be members of CCGTCC, the Silver Strike Chapter will have their own Chapter Meeting and their own Auction limited to silver strikes at the 2001 CCGTCC convention.
Question: Why should those who are NOT members of CCGTCC be able to attend the Silver Strikers activities that the national organization is providing facilities for at no cost to the chapter?
Not looking to begin another round of controversy, but I too support Marv Weaver's ammendment. BTW: There is nothing wrong with a Chapter enforcing a chapter rule making membership in CCGTCC mandatory for all members belonging to that particular chapter.
