I just wanted to express my opinion here in regards to the grading or "slabbing" of casino chips. Like I stated in my past message I do not agree that every casino chip be graded/slabbed just the more valueable or rare issues. Since I am new to collecting casino chips I would feel much more confident in buying a graded chip so that I know it is real and not a remake or bogus chip.
I will pay for this service and allow someone with more knowledge to handling the grading of my chips. I do not want to get ripped off on a purchase of casino chips. I have several years of sportscard collecting and before PSA and many of the other grading companies started up dealers took advantage of people in selling less than mint items that were sold as mint. I am not saying that all people try to pull this on people however I am sure that it does happen.
Just my two sense worth in regards to this matter, I do support chip grading and wish I was at the show over the weekend.. GW
