Hi folks!
I've been racking my brain (not a difficult task) trying to figure out a way to get together some sort of numbering system that will identify a chip by the following criteria (State/Country ; Property Name ; Denomination ; Variation) That's 4 different things that have to be identified by a number (in my opinion). I have come up with a numbering system that can identify a chip by those 4 criteria with only 7 digits. This numbering system will allow for a total of
676 States/Countries
676 Properties per State/Country
35 different Denominations per casino
676 Variations of each denom per casino (OK, the Hard Rock and FQ might run out)
Of the above, if need be, State; Property; & Variations can be changed to allow for a total of 1225 rather than 676. I was wondering whether or not Nevada had more than 676 casinos that used chips so I could figure this out.
I've got an Excel spreadsheet with the breakdown (criteria only, no casinos in it yet) if anyone is interested in it. I did NOT break it down by city due to the fact that we would need 2 extra digits to do this. 7 digits is enough in my opinion.
Anyone wanting a copy of my spreadsheet, please let me know and I'll e-mail them out tonight.
Thanks,
--Thom
